On Saturday, January 26, Life Member Peggy Grant was installed as the first female President of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Peggy is a life member with the Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps and several years ago decided to also volunteer some of her time to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Members Train on Moving/Lifting Patients

On Thursday, January 24, members of the Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps. had their first drill of 2019. The drill reviewed how to use equipment made to lift and move patients. There was also a hands on portion of the drill so that members could practice their skills. Skills Review and Training September 27

Members of Carmel VAC practiced their patient care skills during a drill. The members drill at least once a month to stay prepared for any emergency call they may be needed at. The ambulance corps provides emergency ambulance services to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are interested in joining the corps can always use more members. On Saturday, September 22nd, Putnam County and the Child Advocacy Center held their 13th annual Children's Expo and Safety Day. Carmel Ambulance stood by in case there were any injuries, gave tours of the ambulance and equipment and handed out some gifts to the public.
